Agent: Misimovic staying put

Wolfsburg playmaker Zvjezdan Misimovic will remain at the Bundesliga champions, according to the player's agent.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina star has impressed again this term and has demonstrated he can cut it in the Champions League as the Wolves make steady progress in the competition.

Media reports suggest Arsenal could be poised to swoop in January but Florian Goll has dismissed those rumours as wide of the mark.

He said: "At the moment there are many rumours in the media in England.

"Zvjezdan signed a new contract at Wolfsburg at the beginning of the year until 2013, so for us there is no news that he wants to leave.

"I cannot say whether Zvjezdan would be interested in playing for Arsenal."
