Woking FC were formed in 1889 and joined the West Surrey League 1895. by 1911 they had joined the Isthmian league.
Eventually in 1992 Woking FC gained promotion to the Conference, a year after their famous FA Cup run in the 1990/1991 season. woking defeated West Bromwich Albion in the third round and norrowly lost out 1-0 to Everton at Goodison Park. The future was looking bright for Woking FC.
They finished runners up in the conference in two consecutive seasons in the 94/95 and 95/96 seasons. This followed with another impressive FA Cup run in the 96/97 season, defeating Millwall and Cambridge to reach the third round against premiership opposition Coventry City. Woking battled out a 1-1 draw at highfield road, only to be again narrowly beaten 2-1 at Kingfield Stadium.
Despite the promise, Woking still remain in the Conference.
