The Club of today was the result of the combining of 2 other clubs from within the local area in 1953 - Aston Road Villa and R.A.F. Association.
However the club's history dates back to the 1890's when a team called Willenhall Pickwicks were the winners of the Birmingham Junior Cup in 1894 and champions of the Birmingham Combination in 1909.
1980/81 season will go down as probably the most exciting in the clubs history. The start of the season saw the erection of £20,000 worth of floodlights and a game against Aston Villa marked the official opening. However, the highlight of the season was to be the FA Vase final appearance at Wembley, Willenhall being the first WML club to achieve this feat.
