Warnock - Moses can be Premier League star

Neil Warnock claims the Barclays Premier League big guns will regret not taking a chance on Victor Moses after Wigan swooped for the teenage Crystal Palace forward.

Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton were all linked with the 19-year-old but only Latics boss Roberto Martinez matched Palace's £2.5million valuation.

Moses, who scored six goals in his last nine games for Palace, was today on the verge of signing a three-and-a-half-year deal at the DW Stadium.

The incoming funds will ease the financial worries at Selhurst Park following the club's slide into administration and Palace manager Warnock suggested the Latics have got themselves a bargain.

Warnock said: "I expect to see Victor do very well in the Premier League and I think a lot of other managers, who have ummed and ahhed and thought I was wasting their time, are going to eat their words.

"I see him floating around up front off a targetman. Good players can play anywhere. He's got the ability and the quality and he's added the hard work of late. I've told him I'm really looking forward to watching him and if he needs me at all I'm on the end of the phone."
