Villa reject talk of Bramble move

Aston Villa have dismissed speculation that they are set to make a move for Wigan central defender Titus Bramble. Villa were reported to be lining up a move for the former Newcastle player in a £3.5 million deal plus promising midfielder Barry Bannan. But Villa sources insist Bramble is not on manager Martin O'Neill's radar. O'Neill is desperate to bring in a new central defender following the retirement of skipper Martin Laursen. But it is understood there are no imminent signings about to happen at Villa.
