Stoke 2 Wigan 0: Lawrence insists Arsenal want revenge

Liam Lawrence knows that Arsenal have unfinished business with Stoke when the sides meet on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium. A bitter taste was left in the mouths of managers Arsene Wenger and Tony Pulis when the teams faced each other at Stoke. Wenger claimed Stoke tried to 'deliberately injure' Theo Walcott and Emmanuel Adebayor six months ago, inflaming emotions. Those claims were rejected, with Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen saying Arsenal 'lack a bit of spine'. His words will resonate in north London this weekend. Lawrence and his team-mates are not going to back down. The Stoke midfielder said: 'They came up here all moaning and groaning. Did it sting with them? Yes, I think it did. Look at Mr Wenger's comments when they were beaten. He's no fan of ours. They'll be expecting a tough game.
