Scharner to see out contract

Austria international Paul Scharner insists he is in no rush to leave Wigan Athletic despite being linked with moves to both Fulham and Sunderland.
The 28-year-old defender still has 12 months left on his Latics contract, but is unwilling to pen an extended two-year deal that he has been offered.
He told the Wigan Observer: "Moving would be an option but I must emphasise that I'm at Wigan and still have a contract until the summer of 2009.
"Afterwards I would be free, so I expect that, in the winter, all hell will break loose."
Scharner is currently recovering from a nose operation in his homeland, and added: "It's now easy to get more air to breathe.
"Through the operation, I hope to have more quality of life, a higher life expectancy and a significant increase in my physical performance.
"According to the doctor, it could increase my potential by up to 30 per cent. That would be a milestone in my career, then I would have to redefine my goals."
Scharner has scored 12 times in 85 appearances for the Latics since moving to the JJB Stadium in January 2006.
