Fulham midfielder Michael Brown is set to leave the club in the near future, after being left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of Hong Kong.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move north to join Wigan Athletic and Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez has confirmed that Brown is on his way out.
He said: "Michael Brown is not with us on this tour, at this moment in time he is talking to another club and discussions are ongoing."
Brown moved to Craven Cottage in January 2006 from Spurs, having previously made his name with Sheffield United and Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Cottagers new signing Lee Cook has also not flown out to Hong Kong, as he completes his recovery from recent knee surgery.
Sanchez told the club's official website: "We want him to rehab, so by the time we come back from Hong Kong, we expect him to play in the QPR game before the season starts.
"He gives us width on the left. He's an old-fashioned winger who will run at players and he's a great crosser of the ball.
"He had a clean-up operation at the end of last season on his knee, nothing major, and he's about a week away from being fit to play."
