Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown has rubbished rumours linking midfielder Marvin Elliott with a move to Premier League Wigan Athletic.
The 24-year-old has been with the Robins for two seasons and Lansdown is unaware of any offer for the former Millwall man.
He told the Bristol Evening Post: "Newspapers are always speculating about players and that's all this is. I've certainly not heard anything from Wigan.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Premier League clubs started looking at some of our players towards the end of the transfer window, because that is what happens.
"But there are no offers in for any of our players at the moment and we hope that's the way things will stay."
