Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce should have most of his injured stars back to face Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Luis Valencia and Mido have been unable to train so far this week but the Egypt international is unable to play against Boro, as he is currently on loan at the JJB Stadium from Gareth Southgate's side.
Latics keeper Mike Pollitt is looking forward to the crunch game, telling the Wigan Observer: "Boro are fighting for their lives and, if we can get an early goal, we could give them real problems.
"Mido can't play, (Marlon) King neither, so we both start a striker down.
"We need the three points too as we want to maintain our good position in the league and also push on.
"The week after we're away at Chelsea, and anything we get there will be seen as a bonus. So we could really do with something against Boro.
"We've got Lee Cattermole going back to his old club, and I'm sure he's looking to that one.
"I don't know what kind of reception he's expecting, but he certainly did well there."
