Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce looks set to be without the services of striker Mido until the end of this month.
Mido picked up a groin strain in Saturday's goalless draw with Fulham after which Bruce admitted he should have rested the Egypt international as he was only half-fit.
Mido has since had to report to the Egyptian Football Federation who will assess the extent of his injury.
The 25-year-old, who is on loan at the JJB Stadium from Middlesbrough until the end of the season, is not expected to return to action until the visit to Chelsea on February 28.
Meanwhile, Charles N'Zogbia's was pleased with his performance against the Cottagers - his first for the Latics following his deadline day switch from Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old said: "This is a club moving in the right direction. I want to show the supporters of Wigan they have bought a player who always plays 100 per cent for the team and always gives everything every match.
"I have come here to play and to win. I want to get into the France squad and I know the only way to do that is to play well for Wigan."
