Martinez wary of Tigers
Roberto Martinez insists it will be no easy feat beating Hull City despite their lowly status. The Tigers are second-bottom of the Premier League table having secured just one win in seven games so far this term. Phil Brown's side have been in woeful form, conceding 14 goals in defeat in their last three league games, including six against Liverpool last time. Martinez, though, believes his side have every reason to be cautious for the trip to the KC Stadium. The Latics boss claims the fact that Hull have struggled so badly this term will only fire them up for a better performance. "There is no sympathy in that respect. I think this is the worst time to play them," he said. Click"Losing against Liverpool the way they did urges you to produce a reaction and that is the dangerous state Hull are in and we need to be aware of that. "They will look to bounce back in front of their fans. They had a big disappointment but I am sure everyone at Hull is hoping the team is going to click. "We all hope they are not going to click at the weekend but we need to be prepared and ready and expect a completely different game to the one we had against Chelsea." Having suffered a similar drumming earlier in the season against Arsenal, Martinez knows the impact such a disappointing result can have on a manager and his players. "It is going to help us, knowing how we felt after the Arsenal result, to understand how Hull are going to feel," he added. "The way you feel is that you are going to give everything you can to get a result on the home fixture. "We have an insight into what to expect and we have to make sure we don't lose our focus or we are going to get punished."
