Martinez delighted with Alcaraz capture

Latics boss Roberto Martinez is delighted with the signing of Paraguayan defender Antolin Alcaraz after tracking the player for a long time. Speaking to the Wigan Observer, Martinez said: “It may have seemed like a very quick signing, but I can guarantee that is not the case. We had been chasing him for the best part of five months. “I met Antolin back in February in Brussels, and I am convinced he is absolutely the right character for our football club. “He is an established international centre-half, who can also play left-back, and he is very comfortable on the ball.
