Latics draw either Oldham or Everton

If the Latics are to progress to the semi finals at Wembley another away win will be needed after drawing a trip to either Boundary Park or Goodison Park.

The Latics overcame a spirited Huddersfield Town side 4-1 with goals from Kone (2), McManaman, and McArthur in a performance that showed good class.

A local away day draw for the quarter finals has got cup spirit flowing around the town with the Latics just one game away from a Wembley semi-final.

The ties are forecast to be played on the weekend of 9th and 10th of March.

With Manchester City also progressing the original league fixture against the Champions at the Ettihad will have to be re-scheduled.
