Wigan Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Hugo Rodallega, according to the Colombia striker's current club Necaxa.
The Mexican side claim they have agreed terms with the Latics over the transfer of the 23-year-old forward and that the move will go through before the end of the current transfer window.
"It is a fact. Hugo is joining Wigan on January 15," claimed Necaxa spokesman Rosendo Duhart.
"I'm afraid I cannot say much more as the board are in Mexico City at the Mexican Football Federation headquarters because the transfer window is closing, but I was told and I can say the transfer has been set."
Rodallega has won 21 caps for Colombia and has scored a goal in every other game since joining Necaxa from Monterrey at the beginning of the 2007/08 season.
