Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce has revealed his intention to sign loanee Maynor Figueroa on a permanent basis in January.
The Honduras left-back joined the Latics on loan from Deportivo Olimpia in January and has started every one of the club's 15 Premier League games so far this season.
"I think Maynor has done enough here and there is a deal in place between the two clubs," Bruce told the Evening Post.
"We negotiated in the summer to have him on loan until Christmas, but now with the sort of money we're talking about - £1.5million - it's a no-brainer not to make it permanent.
"That will go through in January when the transfer window opens and we'll be delighted to get that done.
"Maynor only made his full debut against Manchester United on the final day of last season, but since then he's near enough played every game and he has been a 'steady Eddie'.
"He had a tough time against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday and we substituted him, but generally he's done well."
