Kirkland and Scharner doubtful

Wigan goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and midfielder Paul Scharner are doubtful for the Barclays Premier League match at Burnley. Kirkland dislocated a finger in the second half of Sunday's 1-1 draw against Manchester City and although he saw out the game, he has yet to train this week. Scharner sustained a hip injury that forced him off after 72 minutes and, like Kirkland, has not participated in any training since.
