Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed that French forward Olivier Kapo is near to a return to action, having yet to feature for the Latics this season.
The 29-year-old is close to overcoming a knee ligament injury and could even feature against Arsenal this weekend.
Martinez told the Evening Post: "Olivier is very, very different to what we have in the team and that gives you options.
"How fit he is is something we will have to assess in our final two sessions before we travel to London, we'll look closely at that.
"But if he is not ready, he will definitely be ready for the weekend after.
"Olivier has great experience, is one of the most technically gifted players we have in the squad and he gives you a different dimension.
"It is down to him now to make sure he recovers his fitness levels and pushes for a place."
