West Ham United beat the transfer deadline by a matter of minutes to secure the services of Newcastle United midfielder Nolberto Solano and Wigan Athletic striker Henri Camara.
Thirty-two-year-old Peru international Solano has signed a one-year contract with the Hammers, with an option for a further 12 months also included in the deal.
Solano has had two spells with the Magpies, making more than 300 first-team appearances, having also featured for Aston Villa during his time in England.
The right-sided star has played well over 70 times for his country, scoring 20 goals in the process.
Meanwhile, Senegal frontman Camara arrives at Upton Park on an initial season-long loan.
The 30-year-old, who has previously had spells with Wolves, Celtic and Southampton, netted 18 goals in 56 appearances for the Latics during two seasons with the club.
However, he had fallen out of favour after Chris Hutchings took over as manager from Paul Jewell in the summer.
