Bruce warning for Heskey

Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce has warned Emile Heskey that he risks his place in England's World Cup 2010 squad should he leave the JJB Stadium next summer.
The revitalised striker is reportedly wanted back at former club Liverpool following his resurgence at Premier League and international level during the past 18 months.
Heskey is out of contract with the Latics at the end of the current season and could return to Anfield after a four-year absence on a free transfer.
However, Bruce was warned the 30-year-old striker that he risks missing out on selection for England - and a potential place in the 2010 World Cup squad - should he see his starting opportunities become limited at a top-four club.
"If he goes to Liverpool or wherever, is he going to play week-in, week-out?" questioned Bruce.
"The big thing Emile will have on his mind is to be in condition in 18 months to go to the World Cup. Why not stay here and do that?
"I don't think you can be at your best if you are not playing every week. That is the conversation I will be having with him.
"I haven't given up hope of keeping him here and neither has the chairman."
