Boss Steve Bruce has admitted that Wigan Athletic could lose the services of midfielder Wilson Palacios, with Tottenham Hotpsur keen on the Honduras international.
The 24-year-old has impressed since joining the Latics in January, with Spurs reported to have already lodged a bid in the region of £10million for the talented playmaker.
Bruce told Sky Sports News: "In two years' time Wilson will be as good a midfielder as there is.
"We will have to see what develops in the next 24 or 48 hours and what Tottenham are prepared to go to.
"The thing is when they agree to come to Wigan we sell these lads a dream.
"We are realistic at Wigan. We do offer them the chance to come to the Premier League and prove themselves to be Premier League footballers.
"The big boys start circling and coming to nick your players and unfortunately, if they pay enough, then they are always going to get their own way, that is the way of the world.
"We don't want to lose anyone, but everyone knows in football that everyone has their price and of course we can't deny the players the opportunity to further their careers."
