Bruce eyes quality signings

Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce has warned fans not to expect a host of summer signings amid speculation linking the club with several names from across Europe.
The Latics boss is confident that his squad already contains enough quality to improve on last season's 14th placed finish without rushing out to bolster his ranks.
Instead, Bruce is keen to add just a couple of fresh faces to his ranks at the JJB Stadium.
"There won't be a big influx of players this summer because I was pleased with a lot of what I saw from the squad last season," he told the Wigan Evening Post.
"We are being linked with every Tom, Dick and Harry at the moment. It seems to be a new name each day.
"But I thought the team did particularly well after I came in last season, responding to what I wanted and we got clear of relegation.
"Of course, if I can improve the squad, and the players I want are out there, I will do that.
"We're a little bit light on numbers with one or two players having left recently, so they will need replacing.
"But I can't see the need for a big upheaval. It will be more about increasing the quality so we can aim to push higher up the table.
Meanwhile, the Latics are set to offer Emmerson Boyce a new long-term contract despite the key defender still having two years remaining on his existing deal.
