Tough cookie: Gijon's Canella (left) makes life difficult for Real Valladolid's Nauzet Aleman Blackburn Rovers are tracking Sporting Gijon left back Roberto Canella. However, the Spanish club's £10million valuation could prove a barrier to his move to Ewood Park. Cash-strapped Sporting could do with the funds generated by selling the Spain Under 21 international, who is out of contract next summer, and hope for renewed interest from Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic. A spokesman for the Spanish club said: 'We know about this interest but Blackburn have not officially spoken to us. 'This subject is over until the end of the season. If we receive an offer it is normal to consider it.' Blackburn's chief scout, Martin Glover, was reportedly in the stands for the game against Valladolid last month and is thought to have been impressed by Canella. Sporting are yet to guarantee their safety and Canella said: 'I see the rumours but I want to focus on my work and not suffer any distractions.'  Arsenal target Jones signs new five-year deal with Blackburn RoversWolves join Blackburn in race for Portsmouth forward DindaneBLACKBURN ROVERS FC
