David Unsworth began his career at Everton in 1991and was a part of the winning team in the 1995 FA Cup. In 1997 Unsworth transferred to to West Ham after 133 appearances at Everton. When the 1998/97 season was over he was signed by Aston Villa for 3 million pounds, however before the next season had even begun he was already returning to Everton for the same 3 million he had previously moved with. In the 2004/2005 season he was signed by Portsmouth but following the manager resigning he lost his place within the team and spent the secold half of the season on loan at Ipswich Town FC.
