Latics suffer Teale woe

Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell has been rocked by the news that Gary Teale is facing eight weeks on the sidelines after breaking his collarbone.

Teale sustained the injury in Saturday's draw at Stoke City.

The defender has been a key figure for the Latics this season and the news may mean that Jewell could move into the transfer market to find a replacement as Wigan push to win a place in the Premiership.

The weekend draw left Wigan third in the Nationwide Division One table.
