Wigan Athletic have sealed a deal to bring Crewe Alexandra David Wright to the JJB Stadium
The 24-year-old defender has signed a three-year deal with the Latics after completing the move for an undisclosed fee.
"I'm delighted to complete my move here and can't wait for training to start on Thursday now to be honest," Wright told the club's official website.
"I've been doing three days work a week with Crewe throughout the summer and therefore have stayed in decent shape, but pre-season is always a step up from that as anyone will tell you.
"I've played against Wigan quite a few times and though I don't really know any of the players off the field, I'm obviously familiar with the ones I've played against over the past couple of seasons.
"They were desperately unlucky to miss out on the play-offs last year and hopefully I can help us go that one step further come May next year."
