Same squad for Latics

Owen Coyle will select from a similar pool of players when his Wigan side host Middlesbrough.

The Latics had to come from two goals down to salvage a point against Doncaster on Tuesday night and the second-half performance in the 2-2 draw is likely to have given Coyle plenty of food for thought.

Striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, introduced at half-time, played a part in both goals, and Coyle could hand him his first league start - possibly in tandem with Grant Holt.

Winger Callum McManaman sits out the second game of a three-match ban while defenders Thomas Rogne (back), Gary Caldwell (hip) and Ivan Ramis (knee) remain sidelined.

Boro's second-choice goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler could be in line for back-to-back starts when Tony Mowbray's men travel to the DW Stadium looking for their second away win of the season.

Jason Steele has not featured since he was forced off with an ankle injury at Charlton two weeks ago and his Swiss understudy will start should the Boro number one fail to recover in time.

Midfielder Matty Dolan will be unavailable after he joined Hartlepool on loan for a month while Marvin Emnes is pushing for his first start of the season after coming off the bench to score an injury-time equaliser last week.

Despite being linked with several players over the last few days, including Leeds' Ross McCormack, Mowbray has no new faces to choose from and could start with the same XI that drew at home with Blackpool.
