Beausejour misses out for Latics

Wigan are without midfielder Jean Beausejour for their clash with Sky Bet Championship leaders Leicester at the DW Stadium.

The Chile international begins a two-match suspension while on-loan forward Martyn Waghorn cannot play against his parent club.

Club captain Gary Caldwell and forward Shaun Maloney are both in contention after long absences.

Midfielders Chris McCann (knee) and Ben Watson (broken leg) remain on the sidelines.

Jamie Vardy is likely to miss out when Leicester continue their promotion charge.

Vardy, who has scored 16 goals this season, will have a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the groin injury that forced him off during the 2-0 victory over title rivals Burnley on Saturday.

Chris Wood, who replaced Vardy and played a part in David Nugent's first-half goal before getting on the scoresheet himself at Turf Moor, is expected to start against the Latics.

Centre-half Sean St Ledger and striker Tom Hopper are available again following long absences with knee and shin injuries respectively.
