Powell worry for Wigan

Wigan's top scorer Nick Powell could miss the Sky Bet Championship fixture with Charlton.

The Manchester United loanee picked up a hamstring strain in the draw at Middlesbrough in midweek and, after suffering from a similar problem over the festive period, boss Uwe Rosler may exercise caution.

Midfielder Josh McEachran is still waiting to make his Latics bow after arriving on loan from Chelsea, although Rosler did say his first couple of weeks would be spent solely on a training programme.

Rosler had cited some minor injury problems in his squad, and winger Callum McManaman missed the trip to Boro, but the German insisted any problems were not serious. The likes of Scott Carson (thigh), Gary Caldwell (Achilles) and Shaun Maloney (shoulder) remain out, though.

Charlton can add new signings Loic Nego and Reza Ghoochannejhad to their squad.

Full-back Nego has joined from Hungarian side Ujpest and Iran striker Ghoochannejhad signed from Belgian club Standard Liege.

Left-back Rhoys Wiggins is back from a ban but right-back Lawrie Wilson is now suspended following his red card in the 3-0 midweek defeat at Doncaster.

Defenders Chris Solly and Leon Cort remain sidelined by knee injuries, goalkeeper Ben Hamer has an ankle problem and midfielder Dale Stephens is poised to join Brighton.
