Quartet still missing for Wigan

Wigan will still have four players missing for Bury's visit to the DW Stadium in Sky Bet League One.

Winger Michael Jacobs (calf), forward Sanmi Odelusi (foot) and full-back Reece James (ankle) all remain out along with full-back Kevin McNaughton (hamstring).

McNaughton, 33, needs a number of development games to build up his long-term fitness having been out of first-team action since August.

Latics boss Gary Caldwell may recall Yanic Wildschut to the starting XI after he came off the bench to grab the winner at Walsall last weekend.

Bury manager David Flitcroft has said Chris Eagles will not be selected for the foreseeable future in comments suggesting the former Manchester United winger may not have a future with the club.

Eagles has made only five appearances, four as a substitute, since arriving in October and Flitcroft suggested he was running out of patience with a player who is not injured.

Addressing Eagles' fitness, Flitcroft told the Shakers' website: "It's not worked out with Chris for what I wanted him to do and for Chris to commit to, it's not worked out."

Danny Rose will be assessed after the crunching tackle from Adam Hammill which saw the Barnsley man sent off on Tuesday night.
