Beausejour banned for Latics

Wigan will definitely be without Jean Beausejour when they head north to face Burnley at Turf Moor.

The Chile international midfielder picked up his fifth yellow card of the season during Boxing Day's clash with Birmingham and will now serve a one-match suspension.

However, Latics boss Uwe Rosler is likely to call upon Ben Watson after the former Crystal Palace man completed a one-game ban of his own.

Thomas Rogne was forced off during the goalless draw with Lee Clark's men after picking up a knock and is likely to join an ever-growing list of injury concerns for Rosler, which includes the likes of Scott Carson, Emerson Boyce and Nick Powell.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche could opt to make changes as his side look to put an end to a run of five winless games on the road.

Keith Treacy has featured from the bench in the last three matches and will be hoping for a first start in almost a month while the likes of Junior Stanislas, Brian Stock, Danny Lafferty and David Edgar could also be called upon.

Ross Wallace (knee) remains Dyche's only notable absentee and is not expected back until the new year.

The Clarets will be hoping to improve upon the last time the two sides met when Wigan did the double over their local rivals during the 2009/10 Barclays Premier League season.
