Wigan must do without Chris McCann once again

Chris McCann will complete his suspension when Wigan entertain Bradford at the DW Stadium.

The veteran midfielder picked up a 10th caution of the season just before the cut-off point for a suspension and will therefore miss out once more.

Michael Jacobs (calf), Jason Pearce and Conor McAleny (hamstring) are all improving, although this contest will likely come too soon for them, with Sanmi Odelusi (foot) and Reece James (ankle) also sidelined.

Latics this week received a boost that their 18-goal forward Will Grigg had been left out of the Northern Ireland squad and will therefore feature against Swindon and Rochdale next week.

Bradford pair Tony McMahon and Josh Cullen are big injury doubts as their side chase a third straight league win.

McMahon is struggling with a hamstring strain and fellow midfielder Cullen, who played for parent club West Ham in the FA Youth Cup this week, has a thigh problem.

Striker James Hanson and Kyel Reid both recovered from illness in time to feature in last week's home win against Doncaster, the latter off the bench, but defender Rory McArdle remains sidelined with a dislocated shoulder.

Wingers Paul Anderson (broken leg) and Filipe Morais (knee) are working their way back from long-term injury.
