Wigan boss Bruce faces headache after Mido and Zaki start a row
Wigan manager Steve Bruce faces a severe test of his man-management skills to placate warring team-mates Mido and Amr Zaki after they fell out on international duty with Egypt.Mido has alleged that rumours he reacted angrily to being left on the bench for last weekend's World Cup qualifier against Zambia were started by Zaki. 'I was shocked to learn that one of my team-mates was responsible for spreading the false rumour - Zaki and his agent came up with that baseless story,' said Mido. [LNB] Fall out: Amr Zaki and Mido[LNB]'I am asking coach (Hassan) Shehata to clear my name.' Zaki was an instant hit at Wigan after arriving on a season-long loanfrom El Zamalek last summer, scoring 11 goals before the end of theyear, but has lost his place since Mido arrived on loan from Middlesbrough in January. Mido added: 'I just want to tell him that success in Europe is notrealised by playing well for a few months and scoring some goals. 'I have been in Europe for several years now and I have scored about 70 goals at the highest levels.'Zaki denied the allegations but the bust-up raises a serious questionmark over Bruce's plans to sign both players permanently in the summer or whether they can even play together in the remaining eight gamesof the season.[LNB][LNB] [LNB]
