Victor Moses should be fit to return for Wigan when they host Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday.
Moses, who scored on his last outing for the Latics against Hartlepool in the Carling Cup, has missed the two games that have followed with an ankle problem.

Defender Gary Caldwell will remain sidelined for a few more weeks as he recovers from hip surgery.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez believes his team are showing signs of progress this season earlier than might be expected. After being thrashed at home 4-0 by Blackpool and 6-0 by Chelsea in their two opening Barclays Premier League games, the Latics have steadied the ship in the last few weeks, pulling off a surprise 1-0 win at Tottenham before Saturday's 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the DW Stadium.
Martinez had four summer signings in his starting line-up against the Wearsiders with transfer deadline day arrivals Franco Di Santo and Tom Cleverley coming off the bench, and the manager feels his new-look group of players are already working well together. "We are starting to show signs that we have no right to show yet because it is early on in the season," Martinez said.
"We are a real team and there is that feeling about every single performance. If we get that, we are going to get a lot of consistency and that is the biggest thing that we have had to solve.
"I was extremely proud. We have to improve on certain things, but you look at the performance against Sunderland and we limited them to one shot on target.
"Yes, they scored, but if we play 10 games where we limit the opposition to one shot on target, I assure you, we will win many, many games.
"There are clear, good signs that we are progressing and getting stronger game by game, and that is where the excitement is."
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is sweating on the fitness of striker Emmanuel Adebayor. Adebayor missed Thursday night's Europa League encounter in Salzburg after picking up a dead leg and Mancini must hope the former Arsenal man has recovered to let him freshen up his side.
Roque Santa Cruz is also available but Jerome Boateng is not thought to be in contention. James Milner and Adam Johnson could earn recalls after City look to improve on a run of one point from two games.
Ahead of the game, Yaya Toure admitted he is loving the scrap for points with Manchester City. Although results have not gone exactly to plan for the Blues this season, it has done nothing to diminish what Toure views as the most exciting challenge of his career so far.
The Ivory Coast midfielder always had an inkling life in the Premier League would be ideally suited to his muscular style. And, after abandoning Barcelona to become one of this summer's highest profile transfers, the 27-year-old has not been disappointed.
On Sunday he will be part of the Blues side looking to get their domestic campaign back on track by beating Wigan. He knows the Blues face a ferocious battle if they are to end a two-match run without a win. But that is just the way he likes it. "When I think about the differences between football in Spain and England, the biggest is that in Spain the matches are played slowly with a lot of quality," said the £24-million man.
"In England everyone has to fight and run for the opportunity to play football. I love that.
