Whelan renames Latics stadium
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has confirmed the JJB Stadium will be renamed the DW Stadium from August 1, marking "a new era" for the club.The announcement follows the launch of Whelan's new business, DW Sports Fitness.com.Whelan said: "We have had some famous days here at the stadium if you think of all the great games that have been hosted since 1999."Now we can look forward to a whole new era as the DW Stadium."[LNB]
