Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan has ruled out the possibility of striker Amr Zaki returning.
The Latics had the Egypt international on a season-long loan last season and for a while he looked a class act.
However, after his goals dried up he then infuriated Wigan after going AWOL while away on international duty.
Despite Zaki's antics he retained hope Wigan might push through a deal, but Whelan has now dashed his hopes.
"Zaki is difficult to control," explained Whelan in The Sun.
"When you get players with indiscipline like him, you just have to wipe your hands of them.
"It's all over with Zaki - full stop."
