Weiss set for Latics switch

Manchester City midfielder Vladimir Weiss has linked himself with a swtich the DW Stadium. The 21 year old has spent time on loan with Bolton Wanderers and Rangers and now looks set to complete a permanent switch to the Latics after being frozen out at Manchester City. Weiss is quoted: "Wigan and a Spanish clubs are immensely interested. I believe my future will be resolved within hours." The lively midfielder is also being linked with a move to Dynamo Kiev in Ukraine. "One thing is for sure, I want to leave Manchester. It is not true that I am already a Dynamo player, as has been put in the media," added Weiss. The move for Weiss would appear to pour cold water on the rumours linking Wright-Phillips with a move to the DW Stadium. It is beleived that the former England winger is refusing to take a pay-cut to revive his career.
