But Watson is looking forward with optimism, and can't wait for the clash with newly promoted Queens Park Rangers, a club Watson used to play for, at the weekendSpeaking about his new deal, the midfield man told the club's official website: "It didn't take very long to agree the new deal and I'm delighted it's all sorted now.
"I've had a couple of good years here and I couldn't wait to commit my future to the club once I knew the Gaffer wanted to discuss matters with me."Regarding the showdown with his former employers at the DW Stadium he said: "We've got two points from two games we felt we should have won, but that's a far cry from this time last season when we'd played two, lost two and on minus ten goals.
