Following the double sale of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young for a combined amount of nearly £40 million, Aston Villa have started the bidding on Charles N'Zogbia. Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is known to be a big fan of N'Zogbia after trying to sign the French international last summer when he was in charge at Birmingham. N'Zogbia has been in inspirational form over the past twelve months for the Latics and has won many admirers across world football. Following the sale of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young to Liverpool and Manchester United respectively, Aston Villa are now looking to rebuild and new manager McLeish has targetted N'Zogbia. The bid of £10 million is likely to be rejected by the Latics who are holding out for at least £15 million for the 24 year old. Everton, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Sunderland are all said to be watching the situation. Whatever the future for N'Zogbia, Latics supporters will never forget the huge role that he played in keeping the club in the Premier League.
