Victor Moses joins Wigan Athletic as Crystal Palace fire sale begins

The 19-year-old forward is only the first of the many lambs anticipated for sacrifice as the transfer window draws to a close. [LNB]The vultures are circling. Palace manager Neil Warnock revealed that one Premier League club had offered just £1.5 million for both Moses and Nathaniel Clyne. [LNB]"Some of the offers we've had from other clubs have been disgusting, pathetic," he said. [LNB]But Warnock bore Moses no ill-will as he headed north. "With the ability he's got, added to the hard work he's done, I'm really looking forward to watching him. I expect him to do very well in the Premier League."[LNB]Moses was the diamond in the armoury, but any of the squad could potentially follow him out of the door. Warnock said Southampton had made a bid for Neil Danns, who scored both goals as Palace allowed themselves a little respite with a win over Peterborough. But with the decision out of his hands, he was unruffled. [LNB]"If my players want to go, they'll go," he said. "But the administrator can't put a gun to the side of their heads."[LNB]Instead, Warnock was focused on crawling out of the relegation mire with a squad of barely 20. A deserved win over the league's bottom side was a good start, the delighted acclaim of the home fans an oasis of lustre amid the gloom. [LNB]As they belted out "Stand up if you love Palace" and "There's only one Neil Warnock" at full volume, it was gratifying to be reminded that there are still some things that are not for sale.
