Tom is not too clever
Wigan are awaiting an update on the fitness of on-loan Tom Cleverley amid fears the midfielder may have made his last appearance for the club.
Manager Roberto Martinez said the 21-year-old midfielder could have cracked a rib after being forced off at half-time in last weekend's Barclays Premier League draw at Everton.
Cleverley, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, is due to be scanned and assessed fully this week but he could face a lengthy absence if the initial prognosis is accurate.
And following rumours that United are considering recalling the youngster in January, that could bring Cleverley's impressive spell at the DW Stadium to an unhappy end.
Cleverley had scored in his previous two appearances against West Ham and Stoke before suffering the injury.
