Wycombe have signed Lewis Montrose on a two-year contract following the midfielder's release by Wigan. The 20-year-old is Wanderers' first new arrival this summer and will officially become a Wycombe player on July 1. Montrose began his career at Wigan, making his first-team debut against Crewe in the Carling Cup in October 2006. He had loan spells at Rochdale, Cheltenham and Chesterfield, where he caught the eye of manager Peter Taylor last season. "I've kept tabs on Lewis ever since we played against Chesterfield. I've also spoken to a few people I know at Wigan and that's why I have followed up my interest," Taylor told the club's official website. "I'm delighted to sign a young player and I hope that with some games and experience he will kick on."
