Swans - No approach for boss

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says there has been no approach from Wigan Athletic or Celtic for manager Roberto Martinez. Former Wigan midfielder Martinez has been linked with a move to the JJB Stadium if current Latics boss Steve Bruce leaves for Sunderland. Martinez has also been mooted as a contender for the Celtic job following Gordon Strachan's decision to step down earlier this week. However, Jenkins has not been in contact with either club and is confident that the Spaniard will be staying at Swansea next season. Premier League target "It is quite natural every time something happens at Wigan that Roberto is brought into it because of his personal links," said Jenkins in the Evening Post. "But I have had no contact with either Wigan or Celtic, and nor do I expect to. "Roberto is under contract here and we are both aware of the targets this club has. "We want to get into the Premier League. I feel we can do that with Roberto and he feels he can do it with Swansea."
