Swans feathers unruffled by Martinez rumours

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed the club have yet to receive an approach from Wigan or Celtic for manager Roberto Martinez. The Spaniard has been heavily linked with former club Wigan and Celtic but Jenkins was quick to quash the rumours. The future of Wigan boss Steve Bruce has become uncertain after refusing to rule himself out of the running for the vacant managerial post at Sunderland, while Gordan Strachan stepped from his post at SPL runners-up Celtic last week. And Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post: "It is quite natural every time something happens at Wigan that Roberto is brought into it because of his personal links. "But I have had no contact with either Wigan or Celtic and nor do I expect to. "Roberto is under contract here and we are both aware of the targets this club has. We want to get into the Premier League. I feel we can do that with Roberto and he feels he can do it with Swansea."
