Swans await Wigan bid

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins is expecting to receive a bid from Wigan Athletic for striker Jason Scotland. The 30-year-old has been linked with a switch to the JJB Stadium ever since Roberto Martinez left Swansea to become Wigan's new manager last month. Scotland has not travelled to Portugal for Swansea's pre-season camp and although Jenkins insists his absence is due to injury, he does expect the Latics to make their move sooner rather than later. "We have had firm interest from Wigan," Jenkins told the Swansea Evening Post. "But as yet nobody has met our valuation for Jason Scotland or any other one of our players. "I've not had any offers since Burnley came in originally came in for Jason but I think you could say Wigan are looking to make one." Jenkins has also revealed he has not received a second offer from Bolton for midfielder Ferrie Bodde, adding: "I did have a conversation with them but it didn't go any further than that."
