Steven Caldwell makes first appearance
He has been training with the Latics to ensure his fitness is right. Now after playing in the club's 3-1 victory over Dundee United, Stephen Caldwell is being linked with a move to the club. Steven, brother of Gary, was released by Burnley at the end of last season and has been without a club since. Now, the Scotland international is said to be interesting Martinez after impressing during his time with the Latics. Of his interest, Martinez said: "Steven is trying to get his full fitness back and he hasn`t played a lot of football this year."He had a couple of niggles and needs to play football to get his intensity back. You could see how much Steven enjoyed the run-out. He is a talker and a leader and there are not many of his type around."We will speak to Steven, and obviously these things boil down to a few things such as numbers.
