Scotland all set for Tractor Boys

Wigan frontman Jason Scotland is believed to be close to a switch to Championship side Ipswich Town.[LNB] The Wigan Athletic striker is on Roy Keane's radar with the Tractor Boys boss keen to bolster his attacking options before the end of the month.[LNB]And it seems the Championship outfit, who dispatched promotion favourites Middlesbrough on the opening weekend of the season, are set to land the 31-year-old forward after agreeing a £1million fee for the former Swansea City man.[LNB]Scotland endured a torrid first season in the Premier League last year after following former Swans boss Roberto Martinez to the DW Stadium.[LNB]The Trinidad and Tobago international found the net just twice in 36 appearances for the Latics and Martinez appears ready to part ways with the powerful marksman.[LNB]It is thought Scotland, who had one year remaining on his current deal with Wigan, will complete the move to Portman Road in the next 48 hours.[LNB]The ex-Dundee United and St Johnstone forward could be available for Ipswich's next fixture against Exeter in the Carling Cup on Tuesday if a deal can be tied up in the coming days.
