N'Zogbia staying as Birmingham fail to up offer

Charles N'Zogbia is to remain a Wigan Athletic player after he coulldn't agree personal terms with Birmingham City. The 24 year old French international, couldn't agree terms with Alex McLeish's side, believed to be hovering around the £50k mark. With Steve Bruce at Sunderland lacking the financial backing to be able to afford N'Zgobia, and Marseille said to be put off by his wage demands, the flying winger could well be with the Latics until at least January. The two clubs had agreed a fee for the player, believed to be around the £10 million mark, but this latest development leaves the supporters with a dilemma as to whether N'Zogbia will be accepted back into the fold. What is more than likely is that he will now be treated as the mercenary that he is, with supporters happy for him to wear the shirt in the full knowledge that his loyalty is only to the green of Dave Whelan's money. The Frenchman will remain a favourite for as long as he has talent in his two feet. CLICK HERE FOR THE MESSAGEBOARD
