N'Zogbia labels every game a cup final

Charles N'Zogbia has this week labelled each game until the end of the season as a cup final as the Latics fight to avoid relegation. The 24 year old winger is set to face Birmingham City at the weekend after turning down a transfer to Alex McLeish's side in the summer transfer window. Speaking about the fixtures from now until the end of the season, N'Zogbia told the Wigan Observer: "It will be a massive game on Saturday, and it’s vital we come away with the win. “We have nine games left, nine cup finals, and we have to go into them thinking we can win them all. “Our performances recently have been very good – we’ve just been unlucky not to have picked up more points. “Look at the Manchester City game – we deserved at least a point. We created some great chances, and it was hardly a great goal that won it for us. Now we need the luck to go with us for a change, and hopefully we can go on a run.” The former Newcastle winger also spoke positively of the trip to La Manga this week. The trip gave the players the chance to takle their mind away from the day-to-day pressures of fighting survival. N'Zogbia added: “It was great to get away with the team, and get some good work done away from England. “The trip helped bring the group together even more, and we’ll have to stick together for the last two months of the season. We are all confident we can stay up.” CLICK HERE FOR THE MESSAGEBOARD
