No Latics bid for Elliott

Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown insists Wigan have not made a bid for midfielder Marvin Elliott. Reports over the weekend suggested Wigan were lining up a swoop for the former Millwall man. However, City have moved quickly to dismiss the rumours and Lansdown says there have been no offers for any players at Ashton Gate. "Newspapers are always speculating about players and that's all this is. I've certainly not heard anything from Wigan," Lansdown told the Bristol Evening Post. "I wouldn't be surprised if Premier League clubs started looking at some of our players towards the end of the transfer window, because that is what happens. "But there are no offers in for any of our players at the moment and we hope that's the way things will stay."
